Leopard Clipper GBR 7388 R Callsign: MYRO8 MMSI number: 235084082
Reflex 38 - Ideal for training and racing. The Reflex 38 is a brilliant performer on the race circuit and was originally designed as a one-design offshore race boat. The Reflex 38 or 'clipper' is compliant with all the ISO regulations for sailing charter yachts and is unusual because it was designed specifically to meet these regulations.
The Reflex 38 is a very stylish yacht which is easy to sail and very comfortable, making for an enjoyable day out on the water. The deck layout was carefully designed for a practical sailing experience, and the interior whilst basic is also extremely practical. It is the perfect boat because it bridges the gap between hardcore racers and a more forgiving racer/cruiser.
With a competitive rating of 1.064, the Reflex 38 will be pushing for podium positions in the RORC's offshore race program.
In addition to its distinguished capabilities as an offshore race boat, the Reflex 38 is well suited to commercial and charter events. It was designed from the outset to fulfil roles in the charter, sail training, corporate entertainment and racing arenas, and it meets all its design specifications perfectly.
In August 2002, the Daily Telegraph described the Reflex 38 as "...a yacht that seems to have that rare ability to shine in all conditions." This yacht is a good all-rounder, and can guarantee you a brilliant day's sailing whatever the event, whatever the weather and whatever the ability of the crew?
The array of trophies from inshore and offshore events is hard evidence that the Reflex 38 is a brilliant yacht to race in. Reflex 38's have won Cowes Week, The Fastnet Race, The Channel Race, The 3 Peaks Race, have come 2nd in IRC2 of the Round the Island Race, and had a class win in the ARC (transatlantic race) along with several other podium positions
